FEW HOURS IN MALMO SWEDEN.

Bridge

I spent the afternoon and evening in Malmo, having arrived at Malmo rail station, from Copenhagen . The train travelled across the Oresund bridge ,which is a combined rail and motorway, it was opened in 2000 and crosses the Oresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden. Actually the crossing is a bridge on to an artificial island ,then into a tunnel. ----Malmo is a pleasant university city, it is the third largest city in Sweden.
The red brick Old Postal House is near the Rail Station, down by the harbour, it was constructed in 1906.---The City Hall is a 5 or 6 minute walk from the station it was built in 1546. ----The Stortorget is a large lovely square, with the statue of King Karl X. ---St. Peters Church is a red brick Gothic building built in the 14th century. It is the oldest church in Sweden.--- I enyoed a good nights sleep at the Comfort Hotel.Next morning took the train to Stockholm..MALMO SWEDEN. Rail station.
